ASIU history
June 30, 2006 - at the founders meeting a decision to create ASIU was made.
The founders were:
1. LLC "Sportmaster" - Director Igor V. Chernov.
2 . LLC "Sport Shop" Inter Athletics - Director Aleksandr P. Rudenko.
3. LLC "EuroIndex" - President Valery A. Pekar .
4. «Pro Fitness Consulting» - CEO Denis S. Pivnev .
5. Organization of Ukrainian Center of physical health "Sport for All"
September 1, 2006 - at the general meeting the founders of the Association "Sports Industry of Ukraine" elected the ASIU president Sushkevich Valery - People's Deputy of Ukraine, President of Paralympic Committee of Ukraine.

September 6, 2006 - ASIU was officially registered by the Pechersk District State Administration in Kyiv. (Certificate of state registration of the legal entity number 798 240 Series AOS)
September 9, 2006 - at 10:00 in the exhibition center "KYIVEXPOPLAZA" ASIU general meeting was held.
The meeting was attended by:
- Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports - Yuri Pavlenko;
- Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports - Miroslav Dutchak;
- Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine - Vladimir Brynzak;
- President of ASIU, MP - Valeriy Sushkevich;
- Executive Director of the Association of Sports Industry Enterprises (ASPI, Russia) - Alexander Bereznikov;
- Editor in Chief «in_Sports» (Russia) - Andrei V. Maligin.
As well as representatives of 47 companies, enterprises and organizations from all regions of Ukraine, who are interested in the idea of creating ASIU and then who already made an application to be member of the association.

The meeting began with a pleasant surprise: Minister of Ukraine Yuri Pavlov awarded one of the most experienced employees of the sports industry of Ukraine, Director of the shop " Sports and Tourism" (Kiev, bul.L.Ukrainki ) Ekaterina Kazak with a sign and a certificate of "Honorary Worker of Physical culture and Sports of Ukraine", also from the founders ASIU she got a huge bouquet of red roses.
Ekaterina is a legend in sports industry, the person who invested her experience and energy in its development. She devoted her life to this business.

At the general meeting of ASIU a number of issues were considered, including:
Information about the ASIU initiative group (speakers V.M.Sushkevich, G.P.Kopylov); about the statutory documents of ASIU - head of the initiative group for development of the Charter and founding treaty - Sloev Igor Stepanovich.
At the meeting were present:

5 . Bereznikov A.A.
After discussing all issues the meeting proceeded to elect the governing bodies of ASIU. The association board of 9 members was elected:
1. Dutchak Miroslav V. - Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports.
2. Kazak Ekaterina - store manager, "Sports and Tourism"
3. Peter M. Martin - Director of Ukrainian Center for physical health "Sport for All" of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports .
4. Vitaly Nosenko - General Director of "Ukrsportstroy"
5. Valery A. Pekar - President of "EuroIndex"
6. Denis S Pivnev. - CEO «Pro Fitness Consuting» (Pro Fitness Consulting)
7. Oleg Rudenko - president of the group "Inter Athletics"
8. Valery Sushkevich - President of the Association "Sports Industry of Ukraine" - People's Deputy of Ukraine.
9. Igor V. Chernov - CEO UV "Sportmaster".
Georgiy Petrovich Kopylov was elected executive director of the Association.
After the general meeting a press conference for the media was held, where V.M.Sushkevich M.V.Dutchak answered the questions of the journalists.
