ASIU is a business association created for the purpose of constant coordination of economic activities of the Association members, which carry out their activities in Ukraine in the sphere of production and sales of sports industry goods, as well as in other industries, somehow associated with it.

The main purpose of the Association is:
• coordination of the activities of the Association Members in the production and sales of the sports industry goods in Ukraine as well as representation and protection of the rights of common property interests of its members in the governmental organs;
• information and legal support of business activities on the Ukrainian market of the sports industry ;
• support of actors of the sports industry domestic market;
• development of cooperation with international and national associations of the sporting goods industry ;
• definition of the sports industry strategy in Ukraine , development and implementation of the Concept and Development Program of Sports Industry of Ukraine together with public authorities.

The main objectives of the Association are:

• Promoting the development of the sphere of manufacturing and sales of the sports industry goods in Ukraine, with the purpose of national health improvement, the promotion of healthy lifestyle, healthy and harmonious upbringing of physically strong generation, the creation of decent and affordable conditions for sports for every citizen ;

• Facilitating the effective activity of the enterprises - Members of the Association, the achievement of rational specialization and cooperation of manufacturing, creating a modern industrial and social infrastructure of production sphere of the sports industry goods in Ukraine;

• Support in the implementation of the activities program for the development of sports industry in Ukraine, Ukrainian market saturation by qualitative, affordable sportswear from national manufacturers through the restoration of competitive sports industry in the country, and its transition to the stage of sustainable development;

• Promoting the prestige of the sphere of manufacturing and sales of the sports industry goods in Ukraine;

• Improving the professional and technical level, modernizing the domestic sphere of the manufacturing of sports industry goods in Ukraine;

• Promoting the development of market mechanisms to regulate activities and formulation of business ethics in the manufacturing and sale of sports goods and services in Ukraine;

• Promoting international sports market goods and services on the principles of harmonization and elimination of international trade barriers;

• Promoting the development of professional and humanitarian international contacts, as well as organization of cooperation and experience exchange with national and international sporting goods industry;

• Facilitating the development and introduction of new technologies and services, effective systems of organization and management in the sphere of physical culture and sports;

• Assisting in the coordination of innovation, science and technology, research and business activities of enterprises and organizations-members of the Association;

• Assisting members of the Association in matters of strengthening their informational, legal, educational, scientific, personnel and logistical funds;

• Organizing and conducting of public and independent scientific reviews of the existing legislation, which regulates the manufacturing and sale of the sports industry goods in Ukraine.
